COMPOSITION:20 mg Tiamulin Hydrogen Fumarate per g of pharmaceutical premix on inert carrier .

PHARMACEUTICAL FORM:Medicated premix

PROPERTIES:

Tiamulin Hydrogen Fumarate is a semi-synthetic antibiotic belonging to the group of pleuromutilins which act as inhibitors in the beginning of protein synthesis at the bacterial ribosome level. Tiamulin acts against a wide range of bacteria including those responsible for enteric and respiratory diseases in swine.

INDICATIONS:

Swine*: MULIVET 2% premix is indicated for the treatment and control of Swine mycoplasmatic infections (Enzootic pneumonia), pleuropneumonia, dysentery and leptospirosis.

CONTRA INDICATIONS:

The product should not be used to boars or to pregnant sows except for a 4 week period before and after service. MULIVET should not be used at the same time with some ionophore antibiotics such as monensin, naracin, maduramycin and salinomycin. It could cause several growth depression and even death of the animal.

UNDESIRABLE EFFECTS::

On rare occasions skin erythema may occur in pigs following the use of MULIVET 2%. In this case the use of MULIVET 2% should be interrupted immediately.

DOSAGE:

Swine*: From 40 to 200ppm in feed, depending on the kind of the infection and use (control or treatment). For more detailed information about the dosage, please advise the SPC and label of the product.

STORAGE-SHELF LIFE:

The product, must be kept in a cool and dry place, protected from light. Under these conditions, the product remains stable for 36 months from the production date and 1 month in finished feed. The container must be sealed after each use.

PACKAGING:

• 5 and 25 Kg paper sacks with inner polyethylene (PE) lining..
