COMPOSITION: Trimethoprim 5%, Sulphadiazine 25%, Mineral oil, Calcium Carbonate to 100%.

PHARMACEUTICAL FORM:  Medicated premix.

PROPERTIES:
The combination of trimethoprim –sulphadiazine (1:5) synergistically renders them bacteriocidal, while individually they are bacteriostatic. Trimethoprim-Sulphadiazine combination, in vitro acts on a large number of gram positive and gram negative micro-organisms, including E.Coli, Salmonella Enteriditis, S Typhimurium, Pasteurella multocida, and may be used against a number of infections in poultry, and pigs.

INDICATIONS*:
Broilers*: For the control of E.coli septicemia secondary to bacterial infections of Gumboro disease, Runtind and Stunting syndrome (infections stunting syndrome) as well as fattty liver kidney syndrome.
Swine*:For the treatment and control of swine collibacillosis, salmonellosis, atrophic rhinitis and MMA syndrome.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
It should not be administered to laying hens producing eggs for human consumption, neither to pregnant sows.  It should not be used in cases with known hypersensitivity to the active ingredient and in animals with serious heart, kidney or liver deficiency.  

UNDESIRABLE EFFECTS:
Not mentioned. In case of allergic reaction, the treatment should be interrupted and if necessary, antihistamines should be administered.

DOSAGE*:
Broilers*: 1 kg of the product is incorporated in 1 TN of feed to provide 300mg/kg of combined active ingredients. The treatment lasts for 10 consecutive days.

Swine*:

- For the treatment of collibacillosis and salmonellosis-3 kg of the product per 1TN of feed for 5 days.

- For the treatment of atrophic rhinitis-2 kg of the product per 1 TN of feed for 10 days.

-For the control of MMA syndrome-2 kg of the product per 1 TN of feed for 3 days before and 3 days    after birth.

STORAGE-SHELF LIFE:
The product, sealed in its original package, should be stored in a dry place, protected from light at a temperature below 25° C. The product in its original package well sealed is stable for 24 months from the production date. The product remains stable into final feed for 3 months.

PACKAGING:
The product is packed in 1000 and 3000g polyethylene bags, as well as in 5Κg, 10Kg and 25Kg paper bags with inner PE lining.
